Our Mission
Right Wings is a nonprofit organization dedicated to creating opportunities for children and communities through the beautiful game of soccer.
Founded in memory of Ava and Faris Derbecker, Right Wings was created to carry forward the values they lived every day: kindness, inclusion, teamwork, generosity, and a genuine love for the game. To them, soccer was never just about winning. It was about friendship, belonging, confidence, and making sure every child felt welcome.
Our mission is simple: to ensure that every child has the opportunity to experience the life-changing impact of soccer, regardless of their circumstances.
Through scholarships, community initiatives, field improvements, equipment donations, and other programs, Right Wings works to remove barriers that keep children from participating in the sport they love. We also strive to create welcoming spaces where families and communities can come together, build lasting relationships, and celebrate the joy that soccer brings.
Every child who steps onto a field because of Right Wings, every team that receives support, and every community strengthened through the game helps continue Ava and Faris' legacy. Their compassion, encouragement, and love for others remain at the heart of everything we do.
We believe soccer has the power to inspire confidence, build character, create lifelong friendships, and unite communities. By investing in young players today, we're helping create a future where every child has the opportunity to belong, grow, and thrive.
